I have finished, submitted and passed my Masters. Hoorah! I have finally gotten back into musical theatre orchestral playing, and managed to do Into the Woods, The Addams Family, Grease, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying all in the first 6 months or so at the beginning of the year, and it was fabulous. I'm about to do Hairspray starting next week. Yeah, it's amateur theatre and it's only $40 a call, but I just love it. If I had the chops and the nous to do it professionally, I would, but I don't.
What else... have been to Melbourne, London and Denmark already this year. Tomorrow I leave again for Melbourne to present at a conference, which I'm also doing next week in Adelaide, and my husband and I are planning to go to New Zealand early next year.
I have also had the odd message from very lovely people who come across my blog and write to me for varying reasons. You're all so delightful, how nice that you took the time to read my ramblings! Given it's been a year I've now probably lost all those people into the netherspace or whatever the Internet is, but that's okay.
After all that, basically the reason why I decided to write after a year is to post a great article about narcolepsy my mother-in-law found. It's from a website called The Conversation, and it just describes narcolepsy in easy to understand terms. Got a boss, or colleague, or friend, or family member you want to explain narcolepsy to? Tell them to have a gander at this article. It's interesting reading!
