Had my final exam for the semester last week and I am SO glad it's done. So nice to just be able to concentrate on one thing!! Having to swap mentally between the Science and Music mindsets was really difficult to do. I'm now able to just concentrate on music, and do it well.
Sleeping has been interesting. I'm on a part time load at school, but it's 5 days a week. It's actually been kind of hard. I've really missed having the one or two days off in between to just sleep and get my head together. I'm trying to treat this block of teaching as a learning experience and to give me an idea of what workload I should aim for next year. Ideally I would like to be able to teach privately for maybe one or two days a week, and then also teach casually for two or three days a week. I just can't do full time... I can't handle it, as a teacher, vet nurse or other. I'm also thinking about what I will do in terms of education... I don't think I'll continue with my Animal Science degree, but I would really like to keep studying something. I'm thinking along the lines of a course in Italian or something... I've always wanted to learn the language, ever since I did it for a semester as an elective. The main thing is keeping it all balanced... being able to earn money, keep my brain stimulated, and sleep. And have a life and stuff.
Off to pick up my kitty from the vet now... had a party on the weekend and I thought it would be better for him to be elsewhere rather than freak out about all the people in his space. He's such a gorgeous fella, but he does pee everywhere a lot. Win some, lose some.
