My housemates are really nice people, but it's a Sunday (Monday morning) and it's 1.30am and I have a ridiculous week ahead of me and I am sitting here, on my computer, desparately tired and unable to sleep due to my two housemates deciding that tonight is an excellent night to stay up late, drink vodka and watch Austin Powers.
I'm so tired and I know this is going to make the rest of my week absolute bullshit. But where do I stand on this?? Am I being unreasonable to expect them to fucking shut up at a certain time on a Sunday night, now Monday morning?? How do I broach something like this, that is.... I don't know, not something that a normal 20 year old would be annoyed about?? Most normal people would be sitting there on the lounge drinking and laughing with them. Who cares about sleep, and work and how one late night affects them?? Do I have the right to be the ultimate party pooper and ask them to not do stuff like this when I'm at home?? I mean, when I'm not here, sure, go for it, I don't care how tired you get... but I am so exhausted already.
This week is just going to be so much more difficult. My sleep has been really weird... I'm so, so tired but I'm finding it really hard to sleep a lot, something I would normally be all over. I was counting on tonight for a really long sleep - I don't need to be up for a rehearsal until 9am. So already I'm down to 8 hours sleep, when I was counting on at least 10. Not sure how much I'll actually end up getting.
Any hints on how to politely deal with a situation like this would be great. In the meantime, I'm exhausted. Good night.... in 3 hours.
