Today was not my best day. I had a hideous night's sleep, thanks to the incredibly loud next door bogan neighbours that decided a Wednesday night was a good night to get smashed and yell for no reason until 1am. Woke up around 8am, after waking up at various other points during the night. Had breakfast and went back to bed until 10.30am. Was a little bit more conscious at this second awakening so I was able to actually do some practical things, both around the house and out shopping. Came home... slept again for an hour. Two naps in a day is not a good thing, it's more annoying than anything else but if I have the opportunity to and my body is saying SLEEP then I just do it. Went to the gym, went out for dinner, came home. Now that I'm home for the evening I'm really quite tired, and I don't start work til the afternoon tomorrow so I can get in a good 9 hours tonight (hopefully).
I try as best I can to plan my days so that I can factor in a nap at some point. Recently it's been happening straight after breakfast - so I wake up, I eat, then go back to sleep for another 2 hours. It actually works reasonably well, it keeps me awake for the rest of the day. This is including the dexamphetamine I take every day. It can be annoying because, really, the sleep is just a massive waste of time that normal people would use to do something productive. I try not to think about it that way and just listen to my body (or just my eyelids sometimes). If it needs to sleep, and I can do it, then I will.
I got my script for my new drugs today. I'll probably start on them tomorrow... I'm interested to see if this new drug will keep me awake so that I no longer need to nap during the day. That would be good... get more stuff done. We'll see.
