Well, maybe not, but they are interesting, and right now my life isn't all that interesting, so I need to fall back on some facts. Well, it is a little bit interesting. We've moved into a giant, 3 storey house (my husband likes to be modest and call it 'multi-level', but still feel okay about bragging a little) and we've spent the last 3 weeks or so doing various bits and pieces around the place to make it livable and lived in. I initially had some worries about moving into the house, being woken up by all manner of noises during the night, being worried about security, giant spiders. There have been some impressive huntsmen but nothing too crazy. I have seen a freaking enormous hornet, though... about the length of my middle finger. That may seem small, but hornets should never be bigger than a bee, I believe, so that thing scared the bejesus out of me.
As it turns out, I've been sleeping ok. It's lovely and cool in the bedrooms, so I don't over heat. It's also really quiet - our neighbours are very normal and lovely. There are possums, but I can't hear them (my husband has though, poor thing). We actually even have a brushtail possum we've decided is our pet. He comes to our balcony every night and I hand feed him, and he sits next to me and chows down. I can pat him and everything. He's unbelievably gorgeous! We've called him Percy. There's also a family of four ringtail possums that live in next door's roof, and we've seen them climbing the trees and whatnot. One did venture onto our balcony but didn't stick around. They're cute, but not fluffy like Percy.
Anyway, turns my life is a bit more interesting than I thought, but I promised some facts. I subscribe to a service called Lifehack and they email me various lists on things, like how to be inspirational, and 17 ways to make your house more efficient etc. This morning they sent me 16 Amazing Facts about Sleep and it really is very interesting! One fact that I found most interesting is that 12% of people dream in black and white, and that it used to be higher until the advent of colour television. How fascinating that TV can have such an impact like that, to change the colour of your dreams! Anyway, check it out and have a read. At the end of the article it will mostly likely suggest some other things to read, like 10 Unconventional Sleeping Tips. Plus, it has references they you may be interested in checking out. So fact on, friends!
